  19. The purpose of this report is to document how the requirements for
  20. advancing a routing protocol to Draft Standard have been satisfied by
  21. the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). This report summarizes the key
  22. feature of BGP, and analyzes the protocol with respect to scaling and
  23. performance. This is the first of two reports on the BGP protocol.
  24. The BGP protocol has been developed by the BGP Working Group of the
  25. Internet Engineering Task Force.  Please send comments to
  26. iwg@rice.edu.

  28. This memo provides information for the Internet community. It does not
  29. specify an Internet standard. Distribution of this memo is unlimited.
